Our values

Ubuntu: a bond that connects all humanity

Values are not just high ideals – they are deeply held beliefs that we demonstrate through action.

At Education4diversity our guiding values are based on the African concept of Ubuntu:

·       That all human beings are interconnected

·       That every action has implications for those around us

·       That personal identity is the result of the past and present lives of others

Within the Ubuntu concept the specific values
we espouse and want to share with schools and other organisations are:

‘Just as in the biosphere diversity is strength, so in human culture diversity and acceptance of difference are the true bases of peaceful, flourishing and harmonious development.’
